Dog’s close call ends with 200kg crocodile captured under Sandakan house

SANDAKAN, Oct 28 — The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully captured a nine-foot crocodile weighing about 200 kilograms early this morning at Kampung Sungai Obar, Batu 7.

SANDAKAN, Oct 28 — The Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) successfully captured a nine-foot crocodile weighing about 200 kilograms early this morning at Kampung Sungai Obar, Batu 7.

The operation began at 1.42am after the district operations centre received an emergency call about a crocodile that had chased a dog and taken refuge beneath a stilt house.

According to District Civil Defence Officer Capt (PA) Sulaiman Salama, the team managed to subdue the reptile by securing it with ropes, clamps, and a safety blanket to keep it calm.
