WASHINGTON, June 29 — The United States and Iran have agreed to halt attacks against each other and will hold talks in Qatar on Tuesday to address their dispute over the Strait of Hormuz, according to US media reports citing senior American officials.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 28 — Eight people were injured in a three-vehicle crash at Kilometre 94 of the southbound North–South Expressway this morning.
According to Bernama, the collision involved a lorry, a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Noah. Guar Chempedak Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohd Happyzam Abd Rasid said firefighters received an emergency call at 8.56am and arrived to find two men in the lorry, two women in the Myvi, and a man along with three women in the Toyota Noah.
He said the Myvi driver was trapped inside the vehicle and suffered semi-critical injuries to the head, shoulder and leg, while the remaining victims sustained minor injuries.
All eight victims were taken to Sultan Abdul Halim Hospital for treatment. Mohd Happyzam added that the rescue operation ended at 10.05am after cleanup work at the scene was completed. — Bernama
