WASHINGTON, June 29 — The United States and Iran have agreed to halt attacks against each other and will hold talks in Qatar on Tuesday to address their dispute over the Strait of Hormuz, according to US media reports citing senior American officials.
IPOH, June 29 — A woman reported missing in Taiping since June 16 has turned up and filed a police report at the Kajang District Police Headquarters in Selangor, denying claims that she had been abducted.
Taiping District Police acting chief Supt Mohd Ariffridzuan Ezahar said Nor Afiza Zainuddin, 41, made the report at about 3pm yesterday.
“Through the police report, the missing person also stated that she did not wish to be contacted or disturbed by her family members or any other parties.
“She explained that she left home on June 16 of her own accord without any coercion from any individual,” he said in a statement.
Mohd Ariffridzuan said her statement had been recorded and police had confirmed the report was authentic, adding that she was found to be safe, in good health, and unharmed.
He also advised the public against speculation or the spread of unverified information about the case, which could lead to unnecessary public concern.
On June 24, he said Nor Afiza was last seen leaving her mother’s home at Lorong Mewah 16, Taman Mewah, Kamunting, on June 16, driving a white Perodua Axia.

On June 21, police discovered the Perodua Axia in good condition along with several of her belongings at a recreational area in Kampung Paya Lintang, Batu Hampar, near Padang Rengas. — BernamaA woman reported missing in Taiping since June 16 has come forward and lodged a police report at the Kajang District Police Headquarters in Selangor, denying allegations that she had been abducted. — Picture by Raymond Manuel
