WASHINGTON, April 8 — President Donald Trump told AFP yesterday that the United States had achieved a “total and complete victory” after reaching a two-week ceasefire agreement with Iran.
KUALA LUMPUR, April 7 — A Chery Tiggo was about 60 per cent destroyed in a five-vehicle collision at Changkat Cermin, Ayer Tawar near Beruas, Perak, on Monday.
The Ayer Tawar Fire and Rescue Station received an emergency call on the incident, which involved five individuals, at 4.55pm, according to Sinar Harian.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) deputy operations director Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said the crash involved a Proton X50, Proton Inspira, the Chery Tiggo, and two Proton Wiras.
“A woman driving the Proton X50 sustained injuries to her hands and face. She was assisted by members of the public and taken to hospital before firefighters arrived,” he said in a statement.
He added that the other four individuals were unharmed.
“All of them managed to exit their vehicles before the rescue team reached the scene,” he said.
Firefighters used a hose line connected to the fire engine’s water tank to extinguish the blaze upon arrival.
The fire was fully put out by 5.53pm, and the operation concluded at 6pm with a team of seven personnel.
The cause of the accident and the total losses are still under investigation.
