KUALA LUMPUR, April 13 — PKR Information Chief Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has confirmed his candidacy for a position in the party’s Central Leadership Council (MPP) in the upcoming party elections this May.

“I’ve visited several states, engaged with various leaders, and carefully considered the need to contest. After much reflection, I’ve decided to officially announce that I will be running for a seat in the MPP to help strengthen the party and bring fresh momentum to the council,” he said.

“God willing, I will campaign in a healthy and positive manner alongside my colleagues and offer a new leadership dynamic. This team will play a key role in guiding the party forward, in partnership with our unity government allies, as we prepare for the 16th General Election,” he added.

Fahmi, who is also the Communications Minister, made the announcement during the Hari Raya open house for the Lembah Pantai parliamentary constituency last night.

The PKR divisional elections will take place from April 11 to 20, while the central leadership polls, including those for the Youth and Wanita wings, are scheduled for May 24. — Bernama
