“Firefighters from the Seremban Fire and Rescue Station, assisted by the Seremban 2 Fire and Rescue Station, are actively carrying out extinguishing operations,” he said in a statement.

A Bernama survey found that the fire was still burning at the premises as efforts to douse the flames continued.

In a separate incident, Negeri Sembilan JBPM liaison officer Muhammad Syazwan Tajuddin said seven personnel from the Senawang Fire and Rescue Station were deployed to tackle a forest fire in Taman Bukit, Ampangan last night.

He said the department received the alert at about 9pm, but the size of the affected area could not yet be determined due to low visibility.

“According to the Operations Commander, the fire involves a hillside forest area, and firefighting efforts are ongoing,” he said when contacted.
