KUALA LUMPUR, May 10 — The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) will charge a former special assistant to a Member of Parliament at the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court tomorrow.

In a statement, the commission said the individual is scheduled to be charged at 8.30am.

The former aide was previously remanded in March last year to assist in investigations into the procurement of smartboards by the Federal Territories Education Department on November 14, 2024.

The MACC also announced that an Islamic finance and investment expert bearing the title of Tan Sri, along with a company director, will be charged at the same court tomorrow morning.

In January, MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki confirmed the arrest of a businessman holding the title Tan Sri over allegations of defrauding investors, resulting in losses exceeding RM300 million over the past two years.
