PARIS, March 5 — France has granted temporary permission for US aircraft to operate from some of its bases in the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict involving the US and Israel with Iran, the French military said today.

A spokeswoman for the military general staff told AFP, “As part of our cooperation with the United States, the presence of their aircraft has been temporarily authorised on our bases in the region.”

She added, “These aircraft help ensure the protection of our partners in the Gulf.” — AFP
