WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
SHAH ALAM, March 16 — Gobind Singh Deo has been appointed as DAP’s national chairman for the 2025-2028 term, succeeding Lim Guan Eng, who now serves as the party’s national adviser.
Former national vice-chairman Nga Kor Ming has been named deputy chairman.
The newly appointed vice-chairpersons are Chong Chieng Jen, Teo Nie Ching, Ng Suee Lim, Syahredzan Johan, and Arul Kumar Jambunathan.
Anthony Loke remains as DAP secretary-general, with Steven Sim, Hannah Yeoh, and Ramkarpal Singh serving as deputy secretaries-general.
Ngeh Koo Ham takes on the role of national treasurer, with Ng Sze Han as assistant treasurer.
Khoo Poay Tiong has been appointed organising secretary, assisted by Lee Chin Chen and Tan Hong Pin as assistant organising secretaries.
Yeo Bee Yin assumes the position of national publicity secretary, with Young Syefura Othman and Wong Shu Qi as assistant publicity secretaries.
Kasthuriraani Patto has been named international secretary, supported by Alice Lau Kiong Yieng as her assistant.
Howard Lee will serve as national political education director, with Vivian Wong Shir Yee as his assistant.
Three newly created roles were introduced: Liew Chin Tong as strategic director, Chan Foong Hin as policy director, and Wong Kah Woh as election director. Loke proposed that these positions be formally incorporated into the party constitution in the future.
Additionally, the Central Executive Committee (CEC) election results saw Teo Kok Seong, Chow Kon Yeow, and Liow Cai Tung among the 30 committee members.
Announcing the new office-bearers, Loke stated that all appointments were made unanimously without contest. He also mentioned that the CEC will decide on the new parliamentary leader in its next meeting.
No additional members were co-opted into the CEC during this session, but Loke noted that further appointments could be made in an upcoming meeting.
