KOTA KINABALU, March 4 — Sabah is inviting Chinese investors to tap into opportunities in the Blue Economy, renewable energy, smart infrastructure, digital innovation, and sustainable tourism, Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said.

Speaking through Deputy Chief Minister II Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun at the Chinese New Year reception hosted by the Chinese Consulate in Kota Kinabalu, Hajiji highlighted Sabah’s commitment to strategic international partnerships under the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ) 2.0 roadmap.

He emphasized that strong Malaysia-China ties, including Sabah-China relations, have boosted trade, tourism, and infrastructure development over the past 50 years. Hajiji expressed optimism that enhanced collaboration would not only drive economic growth but also strengthen social bonds and mutual trust, benefiting people in both regions. — Bernama
