KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather alert for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across 11 states, expected to last until 6pm today.‍

KUALA LUMPUR, May 25 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather alert for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across 11 states, expected to last until 6pm today.

According to MetMalaysia, affected areas include Perlis, Kuala Lumpur, and parts of Selangor (Hulu Selangor and Hulu Langat), Negeri Sembilan (Jelebu and Jempol), and Johor (Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Mersing, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru).

In Perak, the warning covers Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim.

Kedah regions under the alert are Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Yan, Pendang, Kuala Muda, Sik, and Baling.

In Pahang, the areas affected include Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Bentong, and Rompin.

The alert also extends to parts of Kelantan (Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, Kuala Krai, and Gua Musang) and Terengganu (Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman).

In Sabah, the impacted districts are Nabawan (Interior), Ranau and Kota Belud (West Coast), Tawau, Kinabatangan (Sandakan), and Pitas (Kudat). — Bernama
