PASIR MAS, Dec 28 — Border authorities have stepped up measures to ease traffic at the Rantau Panjang ICQS Complex as school holiday crowd levels rise.

Queues of nearly 300 metres have been reported along the main road, especially between 9am and 2pm, said AKPS deputy commander Bakri Sulaiman.

Additional officers and a traffic management plan have been deployed to smoothen inspections, while the public is advised to plan ahead and ensure travel documents are ready.

Travellers noted that early planning and the presence of extra personnel helped improve the flow despite long lines. — Bernama
