WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
BARCELONA, May 17 — Barcelona’s players marked their 28th LaLiga title with a jubilant open-top bus parade alongside thousands of fans yesterday, but coach Hansi Flick was quick to refocus the squad, reminding them the season isn’t over yet.
Flick, who has guided the team to a LaLiga triumph, Copa del Rey victory, and Spanish Super Cup title in his debut season, stressed the importance of finishing strong.
“Yesterday was for celebration and rest. Many players went out partying, but if you can party, you can work — that’s no excuse,” Flick told reporters ahead of their final home match against Villarreal.
“We want to close the season the way we started — with a win. It’s our last game at home, and we’re determined to end it as unbeaten champions in 2025.”
Flick also shared his admiration for the fans’ energy during the celebrations.
“The passion and joy on the faces of the fans were incredible. Celebrating like this every year would be a dream — and we’ll work hard to make it happen again. This title belongs to everyone,” he said.
Looking ahead, Flick acknowledged the challenge posed by fifth-placed Villarreal, who are pushing for Champions League qualification.
“They’re a top side, having won their last four matches. You can see the coach’s influence and the strength of their key players,” he said. When asked about the possibility of starting with 11 homegrown players, Flick revealed the idea was under consideration.
“We’ve discussed it internally. It’s a possibility, but we’ll make a decision tomorrow based on the team’s condition,” he added. — Reuters
