KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 13 — The Dewan Rakyat will discuss potential amendments to the Peaceful Assembly Act 2012, which could allow citizens to gather peacefully without prior approval from authorities. Khoo Poay Tiong (PH-Kota Melaka) is set to raise this issue with the Prime Minister during the Minister’s Question Time at 10 am.

In the same session, Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal (PN-Machang) will question the Prime Minister on the reasons behind the recent sell-off of shares by foreign investors. Meanwhile, Captain Azahari Hasan (PN-Padang Rengas) will ask the Minister of Communications about the government’s latest strategies to combat online gambling, including monitoring efforts and collaborations with digital platforms.

Following the Q&A session, the Dewan Rakyat will continue debating the motion of thanks for the royal address.

Later, at 12.30 pm, Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu is expected to announce new measures on padi and rice prices, including a potential increase in the padi purchase floor price and additional subsidies to offset consumer impact. — Bernama
