KUALA LUMPUR, June 29 — Public relations agency ShekhinahPR, in collaboration with football marketing and management consultancy ProEvents, has donated football gear used by Manchester United during their recent match against the Asean All-Stars at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil to Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Lemoi.
KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 25 — Key issues, including the proposed Urban Renewal Bill, flood mitigation strategies, and the minimum wage, are set to dominate today's Dewan Rakyat session.
During the Ministers’ Question Time, Tan Kar Hing (PH-Gopeng) will seek assurances from the Prime Minister that no land or property owners will be forcibly evicted under the Urban Renewal Bill. Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman (Muar MP) will raise concerns about flood preparedness, particularly in monsoon-affected and high-risk areas.
On minimum wage, Vivian Wong Shir Yee (PH-Sandakan) will question the Human Resources Minister about assistance schemes for SMEs during the wage transition. Meanwhile, Hassan Abdul Karim (PH-Pasir Gudang) will push for an increase from RM1,700 to RM2,208 per month, aligning it with the national poverty level.
In healthcare, Wong Shu Qi (PH-Kluang) will question the Health Minister about the effectiveness of the I Fit and Eat Right (IFitEr) Programme, including wellness hub registrations, costs, and evaluation methods.
The session will also see the Finance Minister table the Supplementary Supply Bill (2024) 2025, followed by the Minister of Housing and Local Government, who will present the Fire Services (Amendment) Bill 2025 for its first reading.
