KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 26 — Key matters up for debate in the Dewan Rakyat today include welfare aid distribution for children and senior citizens, as well as government efforts to promote recreational vehicle (RV) tourism.

According to the Order Paper on Parliament’s official website, Cha Kee Chin (PH-Rasah) will seek clarification from the Women, Family and Community Development Minister on measures to ensure timely disbursement of assistance such as Child Assistance (BKK), the Persons with Disabilities (PWD) Allowance and Senior Citizens Assistance.

He is also requesting information on targeted programmes to support single mothers and low-income urban families, especially in Rasah.

Meanwhile, Kalam Salan (PN-Sabak Bernam) will question the Housing and Local Government Minister on initiatives to strengthen the RV tourism sector, including the development of RV parks for local and international travellers. He will also ask whether Sabak Bernam could be designated as a pilot location.

Another topic on the agenda is a question from R. Yuneswaran (PH-Segamat) to the Investment, Trade and Industry Minister regarding strategies to help Malaysian companies gain access to artificial intelligence (AI) chips from the United States and China.

Dr Mohammed Taufiq Johari (PH-Sungai Petani) is also set to ask the Home Affairs Minister about enhancements to customs checks at all domestic and international airports to bolster anti-smuggling efforts.

The session will continue with the committee-level debate on the 2026 Supply Bill (Budget).
