KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 17 — Today’s Dewan Rakyat session will focus on the Independent Police Conduct Commission (IPCC) and Malaysia’s plans as ASEAN Chair in 2025.

Khoo Poay Tiong (PH-Kota Melaka) has asked the Home Minister to outline the IPCC’s achievements since its formation and clarify its functions alongside the Police, Friends, and Collaborators (IPFC).

Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar (PN-Kemaman) has requested the Foreign Minister to elaborate on Malaysia’s ASEAN Chair strategies, focusing on strengthening regional value chains, fortifying member states, and restructuring economies.

Cha Kee Chin (PH-Rasah) has questioned the Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living about the total subsidies for the Cooking Oil Price Stabilisation Scheme (eCOSS) in 2024. He also asked whether the quota for subsidised cooking oil, currently at 60,000 tonnes, would be increased due to supply shortages.

The session will continue with debates on the Motion of Thanks for the Royal Address. This parliamentary meeting runs for 18 days until March 6. — Bernama
