GENEVA, March 27 — Iran’s foreign minister condemned the deadly bombing of a school on the first day of the Middle East war as a “calculated” attack by the United States.

In a video address to the United Nations Human Rights Council, Abbas Araghchi denounced the “deliberate, staged assault” on an elementary school in Minab, southern Iran, where over 175 students and teachers were killed.

He added that US attempts to justify the attack “cannot absolve them of responsibility,” calling the February 28 strike “a war crime and a crime against humanity.” — AFP
