PAPAR, June 9 — A JOHOR BAHRU, June 9 — A 40-year-old Singaporean man was arrested following a road rage incident and alleged vandalism involving another vehicle in the Tun Aminah area of Skudai yesterday.

Johor Bahru Utara police chief ACP Balveer Singh Mahindar Singh said the arrest was made by the district’s Criminal Investigation Division at around 6.20pm on June 8, following a police report lodged by a 31-year-old local man at 3.01pm.

According to the complainant, the incident occurred at 2.39pm while he was driving his BMW. He claimed that a Toyota Altis with Singapore plates honked at him after being blocked, leading to a verbal altercation. The suspect allegedly kicked the complainant’s car, causing damage, although no injuries were reported.

ACP Balveer added that the suspect tested negative for drugs and has no prior criminal record.

The suspect is expected to be brought to the Johor Bahru Court on June 9 for a remand application. The case is being investigated under Section 426 of the Penal Code for mischief and property damage, and Section 509 for using insulting words.
