LONDON, Sept 24 — Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has said Harry Kane would be welcome to return to the club if he ever decides to leave Bayern Munich.

According to German outlet Bild, Kane has a £56.7 million (RM319 million) release clause that could be activated at the end of this season. Reports also suggest Spurs hold a buy-back option, fuelling speculation of a potential homecoming.

Kane is Tottenham’s all-time leading scorer with 280 goals across 14 years after rising through the academy. Since joining Bayern in 2023, he has scored 98 goals in 103 matches for the Bundesliga champions.

When asked about the possibility of re-signing the striker, Frank replied:

“I didn’t know there was a clause. He’s an unbelievable player who did fantastically for Spurs and is doing the same at Bayern. A top player.

“I think a lot of Tottenham fans, myself included, would love to see Kane return. But honestly, I don’t think it will happen now. He’ll probably stay in Bayern and keep performing well.”

Frank took charge of Tottenham this summer after moving from Brentford to replace Ange Postecoglou and has never worked with Kane. Still, he is a clear admirer of the 32-year-old, who is also England’s record scorer with 74 international goals.

“He was top scorer last season, won the title, and he’s still performing brilliantly. I don’t know what he’s thinking,” Frank said ahead of today’s League Cup third-round tie against Doncaster.

“I like to travel and experience new things, and he’s been here so many years—so maybe he should enjoy Bayern a little longer.
