KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, Queen of Malaysia, shared heartfelt Mother’s Day wishes with all women who carry the noble title of ‘mother’.

Their Majesties conveyed the message yesterday via a post on the official Facebook page of Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar, where the King also extended a special Mother’s Day greeting to the Queen.

Sultan Ibrahim emphasised that a mother’s sacrifices should be appreciated every day, not just on special occasions, highlighting the esteemed position of mothers in Islam.

“The Quran and the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) stress the importance of honouring one’s mother, for paradise lies beneath her feet,” His Majesty stated.

He also expressed deep gratitude to Allah for blessing him with a loving and devoted wife who has played a pivotal role in raising their children.

Additionally, His Majesty offered prayers for his late mother, Enche’ Besar Hajah Khalsom Abdullah, and the late Raja Perempuan Muzwin.
