KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 23 — Two foreign nationals have become the first individuals in Malaysia to be charged in court for littering under the newly enforced anti-littering law, according to a report by The Star.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — Authorities launched a coordinated raid on entertainment venues across the city on May 31, targeting illegal operations and criminal activity.
The operation, carried out under the KL Strike Force, involved multiple agencies including Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK), the Federal Territories Islamic Department (Jawi), and the Immigration Department.
Two entertainment outlets were inspected — one was found operating without a valid business licence, while the other was in the process of applying for one.
DBKL confiscated items linked to unauthorised entertainment activities and issued two notices for violations under local entertainment regulations.
Immigration officers detained 27 foreign nationals during the raid for documentation checks and transported them to headquarters for further processing.
AADK reported that 19 individuals tested positive for drugs and were taken in for follow-up action.
Meanwhile, Jawi issued 10 notices for individuals to attend interviews in connection with Shariah-related moral offences.
Authorities said similar joint operations will be conducted at strategic locations throughout Kuala Lumpur to ensure continued enforcement and compliance with the law.
