WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
LONDON, April 24 — Leicester City captain Jamie Vardy will depart the club at the end of the season, the recently relegated side confirmed today.
The 38-year-old striker, who played a pivotal role in the Foxes’ historic Premier League title triumph in 2016, was hailed by the club as “our greatest-ever player.”
Vardy, a former England international, joined Leicester in 2012 from non-league side Fleetwood Town. Over nearly 500 appearances, he has netted 198 goals, including 24 during the club’s remarkable 2015/16 title-winning campaign.
“We can confirm legendary striker Jamie Vardy will leave Leicester City this summer after 13 seasons that have seen him become our greatest-ever player,” read a club statement.
“Jamie is one of a kind,” said Leicester chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha. “He is not just a special player but an exceptional individual. He holds a place in the hearts of everyone associated with Leicester City, and he certainly has my deepest respect and affection. I’m endlessly grateful for all he’s contributed to this club.”
In a heartfelt farewell video shared on social media, Vardy admitted it was a tough goodbye.
“I’m devastated that this moment has arrived, but I knew it would come one day,” he said. “I’ve spent 13 incredible years here, full of unforgettable memories. There have been ups and downs, but mostly it’s been an incredible journey.”
