PARIS, June 7 — US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth warned yesterday that Europe was facing what he described as an “invasion” of dangerous ideologies arriving by sea, drawing a link between immigration and the legacy of the D-Day landings during remarks in Normandy.
PUTRAJAYA, May 9 — The Inland Revenue Board (LHDN) is urging taxpayers to request e-invoices for all purchases and expenses that qualify for individual tax relief, beginning this year.
In a statement today, LHDN said the move is part of preparations for a pilot project that will allow eligible tax relief information from e-invoice transactions to be automatically pre-filled into taxpayers’ Income Tax Return Forms for the Year of Assessment 2026.
To receive an e-invoice, buyers must provide sellers with their identification number or Tax Identification Number (TIN) to ensure the document is issued correctly.
LHDN said expenses that may be automatically pre-filled include purchases of personal computers and smartphones, lifestyle-related spending, insurance premiums, childcare centre fees, and other eligible relief categories.
The tax authority added that e-invoices make it easier for taxpayers to manage and store their records, while also enabling them to review transactions and tax relief claims through the MyInvois Portal.
Taxpayers who need assistance or further information on e-invoicing can contact any LHDN office, call the e-Invoice Help Desk at 03-8682 8000, use the MyInvois Live Chat service, or email myinvois@hasil.gov.my. — Bernama
