KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — Malaysia has agreed in principle to exempt certain Palestinian agricultural and food products from customs duties, said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 19 — Malaysia has agreed in principle to exempt certain Palestinian agricultural and food products from customs duties, said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

“Malaysia stands firmly with Palestine to support the rebuilding of its economy and the foundation of socio-economic recovery. We look forward to working closely with our Palestinian partners to achieve tangible mutual benefits for our people,” he said at the memorandum of understanding (MoU) exchange on trade and economic cooperation between Malaysia and Palestine today.

The MoU was signed by MITI secretary-general Datuk Hairil Yahri Yaacob and Palestinian ambassador to Malaysia Walid Abu Ali, and witnessed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. — Bernama
