WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
SUBANG JAYA, April 11 — Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari announced today that the next phase of efforts will focus on cleaning residential areas impacted by the recent gas pipeline explosion in Putra Heights.
He stated that all local authorities under the Selangor state government will be mobilised for a major clean-up operation over the weekend.
“A mega clean-up will be carried out this Saturday and Sunday,” he said during a press conference at Masjid Putra Heights. “As such, there will be no disaster committee meetings or daily press briefings during those days, as our full attention will be on the clean-up and related activities.”
Amirudin, who is also the Sungai Tua assemblyman, said approximately 1,402 personnel—including volunteers and members of various agencies—will be involved in the effort.
He explained that the clean-up will cover waste and debris on the streets and outside homes, particularly in villages. Previously, clean-up operations had mainly focused on Putra Harmoni and Putra Heights, following official approval.
“Just two or three days ago, we received clearance to begin work in Kampung Kuala Sungai Baru, so that area will be a major focus tomorrow with machinery and volunteers on site,” he added. “I believe that within these two days, we can address around 90 per cent of the cleanliness issues there, including debris and household items residents need to discard due to fire damage.”
On Wednesday, Amirudin also announced that all temporary relief shelters (PPS) in Putra Heights will be closed by the end of the week, with the process starting that night.
Meanwhile, Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan said yesterday that the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ), along with the state government, will carry out a coordinated clean-up this weekend to further support affected residents.
