Melaka police arrest drug dealer, seize RM35,000 worth of drugs hidden in Honda Jazz

ALOR GAJAH, Sept 17 — Police in Melaka arrested a 31-year-old man after uncovering over two kilogrammes of drugs, believed to be heroin and syabu, worth an estimated RM35,000 hidden in a car at Jalan Industri Rumbia.

ALOR GAJAH, Sept 17 — Police in Melaka arrested a 31-year-old man after uncovering over two kilogrammes of drugs, believed to be heroin and syabu, worth an estimated RM35,000 hidden in a car at Jalan Industri Rumbia.

Acting Alor Gajah District Police chief DSP Azrul Mohamed said the suspect was detained at around 6.10am on Sept 12 by a Melaka Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) team.

“Checks on the Honda Jazz uncovered 1,500 transparent plastic packets suspected to contain heroin weighing 2,129.30 grammes. Another 100 packets containing substances believed to be syabu weighing 96 grammes were also seized, bringing the total value of the haul to about RM35,000,” he said in a statement yesterday.

Police also confiscated a Benelli 150 motorcycle valued at approximately RM5,000.
