NEW YORK, May 23 — The Trump administration yesterday revoked Harvard University’s authorization to enroll foreign students—who make up over a quarter of its student body—in a sharp escalation of the president’s conflict with the prestigious institution.
SERDANG, April 28 — The supply of cattle for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebrations in June is expected to be sufficient, said Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.
He also expressed optimism that cattle prices would remain stable, noting that prices had been low during the recent Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
“For cattle meant for sacrificial purposes, insya-Allah, the supply will be enough. We hope prices won’t surge during the festive season,” he told reporters after attending his ministry’s monthly assembly and Aidilfitri celebration at the Malaysian Agro Exposition Park Serdang (MAEPS) today.
Mohamad added that the outbreak of Haemorrhagic Septicaemia (HS) in Kuala Terengganu — which recently resulted in the deaths of 25 cows in Kampung Dusun Tembakau, Manir — was under control and being closely monitored.
He also said the current high price of coconut milk would be stabilised by May, explaining that prices had spiked due to strong demand during Aidilfitri.
“To ensure adequate supply, the government has moved to import more coconut milk from Indonesia, as well as from Sabah and Sarawak,” he added. — Bernama
