Minister Fahmi expresses gratitude to 123 companies for contributing RM22 million towards the 2025 National Day celebrations

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 23 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has commended the sponsorship contributions exceeding RM22 million that helped make the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) celebrations a success.

PUTRAJAYA, Oct 23 — Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil has commended the sponsorship contributions exceeding RM22 million that helped make the National Day and Malaysia Day 2025 (HKHM 2025) celebrations a success.

As chairman of the HKHM 2025 Main Celebration Committee, Fahmi expressed appreciation to the Sponsorship Committee for securing the contributions through strategic collaborations with various corporate, private, and industry partners.

In total, the Ministry of Communications, through the Sponsorship Committee, received RM22.31 million in sponsorships — comprising RM1.96 million in cash and RM20.35 million in goods and services for HKHM 2025.

“Alhamdulillah, the contributions from 123 strategic partners are truly meaningful to all of us and will certainly bring joy to Malaysians attending the HKHM 2025 celebrations. I extend my heartfelt thanks to all our strategic partners for their generous support, and I hope this strong collaboration will continue for next year’s celebration,” he said at the HKHM 2025 Appreciation Ceremony here yesterday.

Fahmi added that he was confident future HKHM celebrations would be even more vibrant, festive, and filled with the spirit of unity and patriotism, thanks to the dedication and cooperation of all parties involved. He also expressed satisfaction with the overall smooth execution of this year’s celebrations and conveyed his highest appreciation to everyone who contributed.

At the event, Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama) News Services Acting Deputy Editor-in-Chief Mohd Shukri Ishak received a certificate of appreciation from Fahmi for Bernama’s commitment in supporting HKHM 2025.

More than 100,000 people thronged Dataran Putrajaya on August 31 to celebrate National Day 2025, which unfolded in a lively and well-coordinated manner. The event was graced by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Ibrahim and Raja Permaisuri Agong Raja Zarith Sofiah, along with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, Cabinet members, and foreign delegates.

Meanwhile, thousands of Malaysians from diverse backgrounds came together to mark the grand finale of the 2025 Malaysia Day celebration in a colourful and harmonious atmosphere at the PICCA Convention Centre@Arena Butterworth, Penang, on September 16. — Bernama
