TOKYO, Jan 22 — Japan has halted the restart of the world’s largest nuclear power plant just hours after it began, though the reactor remains “stable,” the operator said.
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 15 — Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has reminded the public that bollards are not simply decorative features but vital safety installations meant to prevent vehicles from intruding onto pedestrian walkways.
DBKL said the bollards are installed with a minimum spacing of 600mm, following standardised guidelines to ensure easy access for wheelchair users, parents pushing strollers and senior citizens.
To enhance safety, the bollards are fitted with reflective strips to improve visibility at night and during periods of heavy rain.
“Pavements are shared spaces that must be respected by all,” DBKL said, calling on the public to refrain from creating obstructions on walkways for the sake of shared safety and comfort.
The city authority also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring Kuala Lumpur remains a safer, more orderly and more liveable city for all.
