WASHINGTON, July 1 — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set to visit the White House next week for talks with President Donald Trump, as the U.S. intensifies efforts to secure a ceasefire in Gaza, a U.S. official confirmed on Monday.
KUALALUMPUR, Feb 4 — A suitcase containing over RM500,000, left behind in a Selangor shopping mall parking lot, has been reunited with its owner after eight months.
According to Selangor police chief Comm Datuk Hussein Omar Khan, the suitcase and cash were returned to a company owner in his 50s following a police report he lodged. “The deputy public prosecutor ordered the return of the money and suitcase through a court order, and it was handed over in mid-November,” he told The Star, confirming the case is now closed.
The suitcase was discovered on March 20 last year by a security guard, sparking questions about the large sum of money inside. Investigators counted the cash, which consisted of RM50 and RM100 notes, but the owner remained unidentified for months.
Initially, a company representative came forward and lodged a report in Shah Alam but failed to appear at the Damansara police station when summoned, citing illness and work commitments. At the time, police required proof of ownership and a statement for the investigation.
Meanwhile, the security guard who found the suitcase was later honoured by his employer for his honesty.
