He said PH plans to contest in 23 of the 73 state legislative assembly seats available.

According to Mustapha, the coalition’s candidates will include a mix of seasoned politicians, fresh faces, technocrats, former civil servants, and grassroots leaders.

“So far, we’ve been informed that PH will contest between 21 and 23 seats, but the final list of approved candidates will be announced by Prime Minister and PKR president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim in early November,” he told reporters after officiating the Higher Education Language Festival at Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) yesterday.

Mustapha, who is also Deputy Minister of Higher Education, added that PH’s election machinery is fully prepared and highly motivated to run an effective campaign to secure victories in the upcoming polls.
