KUALA LUMPUR, April 1 — Petroliam Nasional Bhd (Petronas) has confirmed a fire incident at Petronas Gas Bhd’s (PGB) main pipeline near Putra Heights, Puchong, Selangor, at 8:10 am today.
Petronas stated that the affected pipeline has been isolated, and all relevant stakeholders have been notified.
“We are actively working with local authorities to manage the situation and will provide further updates as investigations are ongoing,” the company said in a statement.
In a separate announcement, Petronas clarified that three nearby retail stations—PS Putra Heights, PS KM2 LDP, and PS Putra Bestari—remain unaffected but have been temporarily closed as a precaution. It advised customers to refuel at alternative stations: PS USJ 20, USJ 6, and USJ 9.
