KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 — Police are investigating the possibility of negligence following the air-conditioning gas explosion at the HELP University campus in Bukit Damansara last Monday.

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 16 — Police are investigating the possibility of negligence following the air-conditioning gas explosion at the HELP University campus in Bukit Damansara last Monday.

Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus said no preliminary evidence of negligence has been found so far, but all aspects, including potential negligence, are being examined. He stressed that action will be taken if negligence is established.

The case is currently classified as a Sudden Death Report (SDR) and remains in its early stages. The affected building has been returned to its owners, while three victims are still receiving hospital treatment and one has been discharged.

The incident, which occurred at about 11.40am, claimed the life of 24-year-old UTAR mechanical engineering student Soo Yu Juan and injured nine others. — Bernama
