NEW YORK, May 23 — The Trump administration yesterday revoked Harvard University’s authorization to enroll foreign students—who make up over a quarter of its student body—in a sharp escalation of the president’s conflict with the prestigious institution.
KUALA LUMPUR, May 11 — Police are set to record statements from Datin Seri Pamela Ling Yueh’s children in Singapore soon, as part of the ongoing investigation into her abduction in Putrajaya on April 9.
Putrajaya district police chief ACP Aidi Sham Mohamed said the Royal Malaysian Police had enlisted Interpol’s help to facilitate the process, which will take place at the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore.
“Interpol is assisting in arranging for the victims’ children to have their statements recorded at the Malaysian High Commission in Singapore in the near future,” he said in a statement yesterday.
To date, police have recorded 25 witness statements, and a photo-fit with a 40 per cent resemblance to one of the suspects has been developed.
On Thursday, Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa said that, besides Pamela’s three children, several other individuals in Singapore may also be called to assist in the investigation.
He added that Pamela’s husband may also be summoned again for a second statement if deemed necessary.
Pamela Ling, 42, was reported missing on April 9 while on her way to the MACC office in an e-hailing vehicle to provide a statement regarding an ongoing case. Police received a report of her disappearance at 3.02pm the same day. — Bernama
