KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 28 — Local livestock breeders have already started preparing beef supplies ahead of next year’s Ramadan and Hari Raya Aidilfitri, said Agriculture and Food Security Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu.

In a Facebook post, he noted that Malaysia’s beef supply has been stable over the past three years, consistently meeting public demand even during peak festive periods such as Aidilfitri and Aidiladha.

“Muslims are expected to begin fasting in February next year, with Aidilfitri expected at the end of March 2026. Breeders have already kicked off preparations for beef supply.

“With early planning, close cooperation from breeders and strong policy support, we can ensure sufficient meat supply for the people next year,” he said. — Bernama
