KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 2 — Several roads in the capital will be temporarily closed from September 29 to October 19 in conjunction with the Deepavali Bazaar 2025.

Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) said in a statement, reported by Harian Metro, that the closures are aimed at ensuring smooth operations and the safety of visitors during the festive bazaar.

The affected roads are Jalan Bonus 6 (Jalan Masjid India), Jalan Rakyat (Brickfields), Jalan Tun Sambanthan (in front of Sentral Suites and Little India, Brickfields), and Lorong Chan Ah Tong.

“These closures are intended to support the management and seamless running of the Deepavali Bazaar 2025, while fostering a vibrant and safe festive environment for both visitors and traders,” DBKL said.

The public is advised to plan their travel ahead of time, consider alternative routes, or use public transportation to minimise traffic congestion.
