KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 — Monash University Malaysia said today that normal operations have resumed at its Sunway City campus after police cleared a bomb threat reported last night.

The university said it had responded to a security alert involving a possible bomb threat on campus and conducted a full security inspection with authorities.

“Following a comprehensive security check, the Subang Jaya District Police Station has confirmed that the situation is now all clear and the Sunway City campus is safe to resume normal operations today, 5 June,” it said in a statement on its official Facebook page.

The campus reopened after police confirmed there was no ongoing threat.

However, its Clinical School Johor Bahru campus will remain closed until further notice.

Monash University Malaysia also thanked staff, students, and visitors for their cooperation and support during the incident.

The university did not disclose further details on the nature of the threat or whether any suspicious items were found during the checks.
