WASHINGTON, June 12 — The White House stated on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will not tolerate “mob rule,” as demonstrations against his immigration policies continue to spread across the U.S., despite a military-backed crackdown in Los Angeles.
SHAH ALAM, March 15 — Selangor police have apprehended seven individuals, including two women, for their alleged involvement in an online fraud syndicate offering fake part-time job opportunities.
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that the arrests were carried out by the Commercial Crime Investigation Department, with support from social media analysis experts.
Authorities also confiscated seven laptops, 12 mobile phones of various brands, a router, a set of keys, and a home access card.
"Preliminary investigations suggest that the suspects operated as second-level call center agents, directing victims to complete specific tasks in return for a 20 percent commission.
"These tasks were assigned via a link shared on the Telegram app, primarily targeting victims in Hong Kong," he said in a statement yesterday.
Hussein confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 420 of the Penal Code for online job fraud. — Bernama
