BANGKOK, April 24 — Thailand’s Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a petition accusing 44 current and former opposition lawmakers of ethics violations over their 2021 move to amend a law protecting the monarchy from criticism, according to Thai media reports.
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 16 — National women’s squash ace S. Sivasangari booked her spot in the Egyptian Open 2025 quarterfinals after overcoming England’s Jasmine Hutton in Giza yesterday.
The world No. 8 defeated the 16th seed 3-1 (12-10, 7-11, 11-9, 11-5) in a 47-minute round of 16 contest.
She will next take on either Egypt’s Amina Orfi or Farida Mohamed in the last eight, with the quarterfinal match scheduled for Wednesday (Sept 17), the Professional Squash Association (PSA) reported.
Sivasangari remains Malaysia’s sole contender in the tournament after Rachel Arnold, Aira Azman and national men’s No. 1 Ng Eain Yow were all knocked out in the second round. — Bernama
