KUALA LUMPUR, March 23 — Traffic along major highways heading towards the Klang Valley remains smooth and under control this morning.

A spokesperson for the Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) said traffic is expected to pick up from noon as travellers begin returning after celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri in their hometowns.

“There is currently only light congestion on the northbound stretch of the North-South Expressway between Bidor and Tapah,” he said when contacted.

He added that PLUS has activated smart lanes at 30 locations from 7am to 11pm today to help improve traffic flow.

Motorists are advised to plan their journeys based on the Travel Time Advisory issued by the concessionaire and to ensure they are well-rested before driving.

The public can also check the latest traffic updates via LLM’s toll-free hotline at 1-800-88-7752 or through the agency’s official website CCTV traffic feed. — Bernama
