KUALA LUMPUR, June 2 — His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, the King of Malaysia, today presided over the 2025 Federal Awards, Medals, and Honours Investiture Ceremony held at Istana Negara, in conjunction with his official birthday celebration.

This marks the second investiture ceremony officiated by His Majesty since his installation as the 17th King of Malaysia on July 20 last year.

Upon arrival, His Majesty and Her Majesty Raja Zarith Sofiah, the Queen of Malaysia, were welcomed by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and his wife, Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.

The royal couple proceeded to the Royal Dais, where they received the Royal Salute from the Guard of Honour, presented by the First Battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment (RAMD). The Guard was led by Major Khairul Fakhzan Zainol Abidin and comprised three officers and 103 personnel.

The national anthem, Negaraku, was played by the RAMD Central Band as the Personal Flag of His Majesty was raised. This was followed by a 21-gun salute performed by the 41st Battery of the Royal Artillery Regiment.

His Majesty then inspected the Guard of Honour and was honoured once more with a Royal Salute as Negaraku was played again.

Following the inspection, Their Majesties were escorted by the Prime Minister and his wife to the Balairung Seri for the official presentation of awards.

A total of 116 individuals were honoured with federal awards, medals, and honours in conjunction with the King’s official birthday. — Bernama
