Teluk Intan to receive RM5.46m for infrastructure upgrades, including RM1m facelift for ‘Glutton Square’ food court

IPOH, April 26 — The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has allocated approximately RM5.46 million (RM5,459,690) for development and infrastructure enhancements in Teluk Intan.‍

IPOH, April 26 — The Housing and Local Government Ministry (KPKT) has allocated approximately RM5.46 million (RM5,459,690) for development and infrastructure enhancements in Teluk Intan.

Minister Nga Kor Ming said the allocation would support projects under the Teluk Intan Municipal Council (MPTI) as well as New Village Development Projects.

Out of the total, RM4.16 million (RM4,159,690) has been earmarked for 22 development initiatives in Chinese new villages across the Hilir Perak district, while RM300,000 has been set aside for the construction of a covered badminton court in Kampung Baru Pasir Bedamar, he said.

Additionally, RM1 million has been allocated for the upgrading of the Glutton Square Baru Food Court, with the project to be managed by MPTI, Nga added.

The announcement was made in a statement during his working visit to Teluk Intan as part of the ministry’s Sentuhan Kasih 3.0 programme.

During the visit, Nga also inspected the progress at the food court site and officiated the newly completed badminton court, which was finished on November 25. — Bernama
