NEW YORK, May 23 — The Trump administration yesterday revoked Harvard University’s authorization to enroll foreign students—who make up over a quarter of its student body—in a sharp escalation of the president’s conflict with the prestigious institution.
PUTRAJAYA, April 25 — The Kuala Lumpur Tower (KL Tower) will reopen to the public at 9am tomorrow (April 26), the Ministry of Communications announced.
In a statement released yesterday, the ministry said the reopening aligns with the Madani government's ongoing commitment to delivering quality services and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for visitors.
“This also reflects the Madani government’s dedication to safeguarding the welfare of workers involved,” the statement added.
KL Tower is now under new management, led by LSH Service Master Sdn Bhd (LSHSM).
The government remains committed to providing efficient, customer-centric services while continuously enhancing safety and comfort to attract more local and international visitors, the ministry said.
Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil had earlier, on April 17, stated that the tower—temporarily closed for maintenance and safety upgrades—would resume operations as soon as possible.
Previously, the ministry confirmed that LSHSM would officially take over KL Tower’s operations, management, and maintenance starting April 1, 2025.
The statement also noted that Menara Kuala Lumpur Sdn Bhd (MKLSB)’s continued occupation of the site after March 31, 2025, was unauthorized. Consequently, the Federal Land Commissioner issued two eviction notices to MKLSB on April 3 and April 9, 2025. — Bernama
