KOTA BHARU, March 10 — All foods that pose a health risk to students, including vape-shaped candies, are banned from being sold in schools, says Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek.

She warned that the Ministry of Education (MOE) will take strict action against anyone selling harmful food to students.

“We ensure that dangerous food is not sold in schools, but we need cooperation from local authorities and the Ministry of Health to control sales outside school premises.

“We also urge principals and administrators to collaborate with authorities to address this issue,” she said during the Kelantan-level Jaulah Ramadan 2025 program today.

Her remarks come amid growing concerns over vape- and cigarette-shaped candies being widely sold in the local market.
