MOSCOW, Dec 24 — A bomb in Moscow killed three people, including two police officers, after they approached a suspicious man near the site where a senior Russian general was assassinated two days ago, an attack Russia blames on Ukrainian intelligence.

MOSCOW, Dec 24 — A bomb in Moscow killed three people, including two police officers, after they approached a suspicious man near the site where a senior Russian general was assassinated two days ago, an attack Russia blames on Ukrainian intelligence.

Russia’s State Investigative Committee said the blast also killed a third person and opened cases under laws on the murder of law enforcement officers and illegal bomb trafficking. Unofficial reports suggest the suspect detonated the device when confronted by police.

The explosion occurred near where Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov was killed on Monday, with Russia suspecting Ukraine’s involvement. — Reuters
