Thunderstorms and heavy rain forecast for six states until 7pm today, says MetMalaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak until 7pm today.

KUALA LUMPUR, March 20 — The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds affecting Perak, Kelantan, Pahang, Selangor, Sabah and Sarawak until 7pm today.

In a statement today, MetMalaysia said the affected areas in Perak include Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim.

In Kelantan, the areas affected are Jeli and Gua Musang, while in Pahang they include Cameron Highlands, Lipis and Raub. In Selangor, Hulu Selangor is affected.

In Sabah, the interior areas of Nabawan and Tawau are expected to experience similar conditions, while in Sarawak, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Selangau) and Mukah (Tanjung Manis and Daro) are also on alert. — Bernama
