KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 3 — A motorcyclist was killed in a collision involving six vehicles on Jalan Hulu Langat-Ampang yesterday afternoon.

Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Naazron Abdul Yusof said the accident occurred at around 4.45pm when a Perodua Alza traveling from Ampang veered into the opposite lane, crashing into four motorcycles and a car heading towards Ampang.
A20-year-old motorcyclist was thrown from his bike and pronounced dead at the scene. Five other motorcyclists and pillion riders, aged between 17 and 38,sustained injuries and were taken to Hospital Ampang for treatment. The drivers of the cars were uninjured.
The27-year-old Alza driver has been arrested, with a remand application set for today. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. Authorities have sent the vehicles for inspection at Puspakom and the Chemistry Department.
