JERUSALEM, Oct 13 — US President Donald Trump told Israel’s parliament on Monday that the Gaza war ceasefire he helped broker marked the “historic dawn of a new Middle East.”

“After years of relentless conflict and constant peril, today the skies are calm, the guns are silent, the sirens have stopped, and the sun rises over a holy land finally at peace — a land and region that, God willing, will know peace for all time,” he said.
