BANGKOK, April 24 — Thailand’s Supreme Court on Friday agreed to hear a petition accusing 44 current and former opposition lawmakers of ethics violations over their 2021 move to amend a law protecting the monarchy from criticism, according to Thai media reports.
LONDON, March 19 — British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has urged anyone who visited a nightclub linked to a deadly meningitis outbreak to come forward for antibiotic treatment.
Speaking in Parliament, he said the outbreak in Canterbury, southeastern England, has claimed the lives of two young people and left several others seriously ill.
Health authorities are currently tracing close contacts of those infected. Starmer specifically appealed to anyone who attended Club Chemistry on March 5, 6 or 7 to seek medical attention and receive antibiotics. — AFP
